The IR-20M Carbon Dioxide Monitor uses the Non-Dispersive Infrared sensing method to provide continuous and stable monitoring for various ranges of carbon dioxide concentrations. This monitor uses a single beam, dual wavelength detector, with an integral thermistor for temperature compensation. These are features provide long-term, continuous, stable monitoring. The thermal convection and diffusion of the sensor makes the monitor ideal for ambient air monitoring, without requiring use of a pump.

The instrument can be factory equipped with either a low, mid, or high range sensor. The low range sensor monitors from 0-50,000 ppm, with a resolution of 50 ppm. The high range sensor monitors from 0-100%, with a resolution of 0.1%. The high range sensor is suitable for line testing applications, where values up to 100% can be expected. The monitor can be optionally configured with a fixture to attach quarter in syringe tubing as input and output.

The standard power source is 2 AA batteries,which provides an operating time of approximately 8 hours. Internal rechargable batteries is also an available optional configuration. This configuration includes an AC adapter, for recharging. Rechargable batteries provide an operating time of up to 30 hours, between charges.
