  • Easy to Use

  • Continuous and Stable Monitoring

  • Temperature Compensated

  • Backlit LCD Display

  • Low Cost

The IR-40M Nitrous Oxide Monitor uses the Non-Dispersive Infrared sensing method to provide continuous and stable monitoring for nitrous oxide concentrations. This model uses a single beam, dual wavelength detector, with an integral thermistor for temperature compensation to provide stable, long-term, and continuous monitoring. The thermal convection and diffusion of these sensors makes the monitor ideal for ambient air monitoring. This makes the instrument ideal for use in exposure monitoring for personnel administering nitrous oxide.

The standard power source is 2 AA batteries, which provides an 8-hour operating time. Internal, rechargeable batteries are also an optional configuration. Rechargeable batteries can provide an operating time of over 30 hours, between charges.
